Kyrgios is gone! Retired injured while losing.

Shame. I personally quite like the guy. Brings a bit of personality to the place.

Personality = Wasting what talent he has and being a massive Spurs fan
Good riddance
He has a couple of years to pull his head in and make something of himself but I wouldn't hold your breath.

El Scorchio 3:28 Mon Jul 3
Re: Wimbledon
Well... yeah not keen on the Spurs thing, but at least he's an individual- pity it does affect his game.

I suppose you're right in the sense that as things are going, he'll go down as nothing more than a massive waste of talent.

Sven Roeder 3:44 Mon Jul 3
Re: Wimbledon
On a given day he has the talent to beat most players but doesn't work enough and doesn't seem sufficiently bothered.
You do want players who aren't dull but the game has to be there first.
Not seen any indication that will change.

Re: Wimbledon
If they put the World Cup on BOTYH BBC1 and BBC2 at the same time there would be rucks.

So why do they do it with this upper middleclass woman supporting shit bat and ball sport.

Re: Wimbledon
Because it's in the middle of the day and it's the biggest sporting event the BBC still has for 2017
Live play is on BBC 2 til 8.30pm and BBC1 goes back to normal programs at 6pm
Don't worry , EastEnders is still on

During the World Cup if there are two games on they are sharing with ITV so only show one each as far as I recall
I don't think the BBC ever has the rights to two games at the same time

Yes that's the worry, another winner for the ever deteriorating BBC

Love Andy Murray, dour tight lipped, tight fisted miserable Scotsman, who hates the English as much as they hate him.
The polar opposite of serial loser Tiny Tim Herman and it breaks the Wimbledon establishment's heart that Murray is a winner

Murray is by far my favourite British sportsman.

Absolute example and we stayed in the same hotel in New York.

El Scorchio 7:15 Mon Jul 3
Re: Wimbledon
Murray is a great sportsman. At the end of the day, it's very rare a Brit competes at the highest level and wins premier world sporting events in a big global sport. Fantastic to see.

When he's gone, we'll be back to having also rans in tennis with the odd 'glorious' quarter or semi final in a slam.

Just like Murray, and the likes of Froome and Hamilton, you need to appreciate them while they are around. It's been a fantastic last decade or so for British and English sport and we could find ourselves back in the wilderness in a few years time.

Re: Wimbledon
It would be a bit hard to hate the English when you live in Oxshott, deep in the heart of what was once known as stockbroker belt.

Might smack a bit of hypocricy otherwise...

Through easily in straight sets today along with Nadal

Oi, Tom, you cunt. The Wimbledon thread is MY gig. I don't know who the fuck you think you are, but I don't take the pissing on my chips very lightly. Hank will go apeshit when he sees this and don't think I'll be pacifying him either.
